Very nice antique plate. Alas, the only mark is Chusan, no other hints as to actual origins or heritage. Rich, bold colors. Deep cobalt blue. Iron red / rust. Lavish gold gilt highlights. This plate measures 10.5" across the rim.
Very heavy plate. Alas, this plate has not withstood the test of time very well, there is very heavy and discernible crazing. Very heavy wear to gilt design and trims. Crack on the back. A large area of chipping, rubbing around the rim on the underside, looks like something was used to hold the plate, most likely for display purposes.
